Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti, was born on October 13 on the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actress. Her talent was first noticed in her teens. She was signed to Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. That same year, she was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? She also appeared on Fat Joe's song"What's Luv!" as well as the Ja Rules' track Never On Time, both of which became huge hit songs. It was the first time for a female artist to hold top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at number one and What's Luv?
